338 New Immigrants Arrive

September 17, 2014

Arrivals at Ben Gurion Airport Throughout the conflict with Hamas in Gaza, new immigrants continued to arrive. On one day in August, President Reuven Rivlin and Interior Minister Gidon Saar met 338 immigrants at the airport to welcome them to their new home. One hundred and eight were coming to join the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) as lone soldiers. In addition, 100 of the new immigrants were children.

None of the new arrivals were deterred by the reality that rocket fire could resume at any moment. With great enthusiasm and confidence they joined their brothers and sisters in Israel, the Jewish homeland. Am Israel Chai (the people of Israel live)—the God of Israel has not abandoned His children.
