Another development in Israel’s preparedness is the “Yehuda Fortress,” a new instant bunker that can be assembled by soldiers on a battlefield without heavy equipment. The “baskets,” which resemble flattened boxes, can be transported by motor vehicle or dropped by parachute and, once assembled, filled with sand to protect troops inside hostile territory.
