Rev. Rebecca Brimmer

International President and Chairman of the Board

Rev. Rebecca J. Brimmer is the International President and Chairman of the International Board. Rebecca has served with Bridges for Peace for over 30 years, 18 of which were in the position of CEO. Since June 2023, Rebecca has handed over the role of CEO and now continues to serve the international organization in a leadership capacity on the Board of Directors. She is a published author and is ordained with the International Ministerial Fellowship. Rebecca resided in Israel with her husband Tom for 33 years and now lives in the United States.

Rev. Peter Fast

International CEO

Rev. Peter Fast directs the worldwide organization with International Headquarters in Israel and eight national offices. He is a spokesman on behalf of Bridges for Peace in many venues, and the Editor in Chief of the Dispatch from Jerusalem magazine. Peter previously served as the National Director with Bridges for Peace Canada, before moving with his family to Israel in 2023 to take up the helm of Bridges for Peace. He holds degrees from Prairie College, a BA in Biblical Studies and a BA in Intercultural Studies. He has completed a Master of Arts in Judeo-Christian Studies at Masters International University of Divinity. Peter teaches on subjects such as: Hebraic Roots, Historical/Modern Israel, Christian anti-Semitism, and Early Church history.

Peter Robertson

International Chief Financial Officer, Israel/Global

Peter Robertson, International Chief Financial Officer, has served Bridges for Peace with a passionate love for the Lord and for Israel since 2003. As a management accountant, Peter has served in two consecutive finance director roles in industry prior to joining Bridges for Peace and has worked in the manufacturing, distribution, retail, and not-for-profit sectors in a varied accounting career that has spanned 25 years.

Rev. Patrick Verbeten

National Director, USA

Patrick has a calling to serve both Church and the nation of Israel. With 14 years of dedicated service to Bridges for Peace, 10 of which were spent in Israel as the Zealous (Young adult) Coordinator and Israel Operations Director, Patrick brings passion and experience to his role. Previous to his work with Bridges for Peace, Patrick served in pastoral roles in different churches. He’s a licensed minister with the International Ministerial Fellowship and studied at Global University. Patrick is happily married with two daughters, cherishing God’s word and family values as the foundation of his work.

Megumi Tabata

National Director, Japan

When Megumi was 20 years old, her father, a pastor, initiated a prayer meeting for Israel at her church. Since then, she has undergone a gradual process of learning about God’s unchanging and everlasting covenant and His love for Israel. At 21, she dedicated seven months to volunteering for BFP Israel, an experience that deepened her affection for both God and the nation.

Her time in Israel proved to be transformative, nurturing a profound connection to both God and Israel. In 2018, she commenced her tenure at Bridges for Peace Japan. Following roles in the tour and young adult departments, Megumi assumed the position of Deputy Director of the Japan National Office in 2021, subsequently rising to the esteemed role of National Director in 2024.

Chris Eden

National Director, South Africa

Chris Eden’s involvement with Israel started with a passion to see the Church in South Africa appreciate its Hebraic foundations. He has served as national director since 1999 and desires to help Christians understand how they should relate to the unfolding biblical prophesies concerning Israel. He leads an able team and travels extensively throughout South Africa with a particular emphasis on leaders. The Church Leaders Israel Forums and Church Leaders Israel Briefings have been developed to support this initiative. The main teaching sessions that he presents are Church Leader’s Israel Briefings and Annual Israel Updates.

Matthew Chivers

National Director, Australia

Matthew assumed the role as Australian National Director, in February 2018, having spent the major part of his Christian ministry in pastoral leadership. In 2015, God began to stir his heart to pursue a different ministry focus. As a result, a deep passion has grown in his heart to see Christian believers catch a vision of what it means to stand with Israel and the Jewish people. He and his wife Tricia have five children and have also entered the grandparent phase of life.

Beth Mather

National Coordinator, New Zealand

Elizabeth “Beth” Mather has served in church leadership in Hamilton, New Zealand for over 25 years. Her experience also includes working as a health promotion and education officer for the District Health Board in New Zealand. She’s an avid world traveler and holds a diploma in Intercultural Studies from East West College. Beth and her husband, Eric, have three sons and three grandchildren. Her passion for Israel and its people was born during a family trip to the Promised Land. While in Jerusalem, she visited the Bridges for Peace offices. The opportunity to experience the work of blessing and supporting Israel made a lasting impression.

Michael Treharne

National Director, U.K.

Michael Treharne has been involved with Bridges for Peace since 1994.  He was one of the first U.K. volunteers to go to Israel. He has been involved with Bridges for Peace in the U.K. through prayer, office volunteer and then as UK Director. From a professional educational background he has served in Teen Challenge and has been a youth street pastor.  He has a heart for intercessory prayer, teaching and speaking in churches all over the U.K.  Michael and his wife, Siân, have five children and live in Wales. Michael gained a BA in photography and Qualified Teacher status.

Doorim Han

National Coordinator, South Korea

Doorim grew up in a ministry family and inherited her passion for Israel from her mother.  For over ten years, she served the body of Christ as a Bible teacher and prayer group leader. In 2010, God called her to bring the message of Bridges for Peace to the Christians of Korea and in 2014, thanks to her commitment and tireless efforts, the BFP Korea office became reality. She has served as National Coordinator since, leading a team of dedicated volunteers with a passion to help the church in Korea to connect with its Hebraic heritage and begin supporting Israel.

Rev. Don James

Interim National Director, Canada

Don joined the staff of Bridges for Peace Canada in December, 2013, following seven years as a volunteer BFP representative. He studied at McMaster Divinity College and pastored Baptist churches for twelve years. Secular employment followed for twenty years. During this period, God opened his eyes to the centrality of Israel in his purposes. He is passionate to see more believers have this revelation. In addition, building relationships with the Jewish community in Winnipeg, Canada and Israel is an immense privilege afforded by being on the Bridges leadership team.
