Israel’s New International Airport Opens

February 1, 2005

The facility has a rail link, operated by Israel Railways, from Tel Aviv. The cost is 12 shekels (US $2.75). Passengers wanting to reach the airport via train from Jerusalem will have to wait a while. Although the train line has received government approvals and new rail construction is under way, it isn’t expected to be finished until 2008.
