New “Gospel Trail” Inaugurated

This new offering by the Ministry of Tourism, in cooperation with the Galilee Development Authority and Cultural Heritage authorities, follows much of the Jesus Trail—a 65-kilometer (40-mile) hiking trail of roughly the same area, which can be accomplished in three to four days at a leisurely walking pace. A group of Italian Catholics inaugurated the Gospel Trail in April as part of the John Paul II Games 2010. The route includes traffic signs, information centers, rest areas, and tourist services.
