No-Trauma Burn Treatment

It was found that Debrase reduced the number of patients requiring the surgical removal of burned tissue, as well as those requiring skin transplant surgery over the burned area. The MediWound Web site states that the gel literally dissolves up to 90% of the dead tissue after a single four-hour application, though it can be applied more than once if needed. The “gelatinous mass is simply wiped away,” leaving a “clean wound bed.” The patient undergoes no trauma because no surgery or anesthesia is needed.
