“So on behalf of Christians around the world I would like to take this opportunity to say to the people of Israel, that you are so loved. That your God has so touched our hearts with His love for you that we are here to serve you if you will allow us to do so. Markets Unlocked is given as a free gift to you from the Christian community around the world as an act of repentance and reconciliation for what has been done to you through the centuries in the name of Christianity, and as a practical expression of our love and support for you.
We stand together with you at this difficult time, and we would like you to know that you are not alone.” Julian Watts, at the launch of Markets Unlocked in Israel

The Hom Tov (Hebrew for “good heat”) process, the brainchild of A.F.S.K. Hom Tov CEO Yisrael Feldman, involves mixing the bitumen residue left over after refineries produce crude oil together with oil shale rock.

Fatah: “Our strategy is not to leave the Islamic alliance [Iran] alone against the enemy. All Palestinian organizations will work together in shooting rockets, suicide bomb attacks, and other steps and actions decided closely.”
––Abu Ahmed, the northern West Bank chief of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, military wing of Fatah, February 26, 2007
Passover and Holocaust Memorial Day usually fall close to each other on the calendar. Is there any connection? I think so, though I’m sure it wasn’t purposely planned.

Recently, I came across an explanation on the distinction between man and woman on “Judaism 101—Hebrew Language: Root Words” (www.jewfaq.org/root.htm): “…the rabbis concluded G-d* created women with greater intuition and understanding than men, because man was ‘formed’ (yeetzer, Gen. 2:7), but woman was ‘built’ (yeeben, Gen. 2:22). The root of ‘built,’ bet-nun-heh, is similar to the word “binah” (bet-yod-nun-heh), meaning understanding, insight, or intuition.”

As Bible-believing Christians living in Israel, my husband Tom and I have come to see Israel from a unique perspective. It is an amazing place, called in Scripture “the glory of all lands” (Ezek. 20:6, 15). An immense variety of plants and animal species are native to the Land. The cultural diversity of Jewish people from over 100 nations is charming and maddening in turn. An eclectic mix of ancient and modern assault the senses. Israel is my home and I love it dearly. Certainly life in Israel is never boring. But, if I were to pick the most wonderful experience to us, it would be the celebrations.

Jewish people have been living in Morocco, on the northwestern corner of Africa, since before the Roman Empire. Before 1948, there were over 265,000 Jews in Morocco; now there are only 5,000 to 7,000. However, approximately 600,000 Moroccan Jews live in Israel today!

Five visitors from the Netherlands, Australia, and New Zealand were wounded in the shooting. Eyewitnesses said Al-Jaaoura shouted, “Allahu akhbar!” (Allah is great!) as he was overpowered. He obviously had no concern which part of the West his victims represented; all the West was his enemy.

Today Gidon Bromberg, the Israel director of Friends of the Earth Middle East (FoEME), says the Jordan River is a health hazard because of sewage dumped into the Jordan. “Almost no fresh water is flowing down the Jordan River anymore. It’s true there are springs along the way which replenish [it] a little bit, but unfortunately it has become the dumping yard of countries,” said Mira Edelstein, an expert on the Jordan Valley and a spokeswoman for FoEME.

The threats against Israel are existential. Surrounded by her enemies––Iran, Hizbullah
