Hope in Difficult Times

Widows and Orphans

God’s heart of compassion to care for the vulnerable is a consistent theme in the Bible. In fact, Deuteronomy 10:18 describes God as the champion of the “fatherless and the widow.” Our Widows and Orphans Fund helps care for those who are often unable to care for themselves. Our food parcels help make ends meet and put food on empty tables. Will you join us to partner with God in defending the fatherless and caring for the widows in Israel?

Project Rescue

Many Jewish people in the countries of the former Soviet Union are unable to return to their ancient homeland of Israel because they simply cannot afford the piled up costs of passports, exit visas, ground transportation and lodging for their trip home. We send “fishermen” who search for hopeless Jews who long to go home to Israel. Without help, they cannot make aliyah (immigrate to Israel). With your assistance, we can literally rescue our Jewish brethren and help them fulfill God’s Word. Thus far, we have helped rescue over 80,000 Jews. Help us bring even more Jewish people home.

Feed a Child

Give the gift of hope for the future by blessing Israeli children from poverty-stricken families, helping them obtain the education needed to unlock the door to a more prosperous future. Your investment in these children’s lives will help provide them with much-needed textbooks, school supplies, a new backpack, hot lunches every school day, funding for school outings and after-school enrichment programs, and computers or tablets (as required by the school). You can sponsor a child for a year for US $65 per month, or give a onetime gift of any amount.

Holocaust Survivors

During the winter months, many Holocaust survivors have to make tough decisions on how to spend their meager finances. Although Israel has national healthcare, some medications and expenses are not covered. In winter, many of our Holocaust survivors spend more on heating, which means a significant gap in their budgets that leaves them unable to pay their medical bills. Your gift will be used to help those in financial difficulty cover their medical expenses, utility bills, and purchase new appliances. We also faithfully provide food every month to the Holocaust survivors on our Food Program.

Save an Israeli Life—Medicycle

In life-or-death situations, every second matters. Medicycles are two- or three-wheeled scooters equipped like a standard ambulance. These “mini ambulances” are small and agile enough to weave in and out of stalled traffic and squeeze through narrow alleyways where normal vehicles can’t navigate. Medicycle paramedics can therefore reach the scene of an emergency within minutes to stabilize and prep the patient for transport to the hospital. Help us provide more medicycles to save countless Israeli lives.

Food Program

“If you extend your soul to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light shall dawn in the darkness…” (Isa. 58:10). Your additional donation toward food will allow us to increase our supply to current recipients, and even enable us to enlarge our tent to provide more food to needy Israelis. New immigrants benefit, as well as those who have been here for a longer time. Holocaust survivors, poor children—both in the Jewish and Arab sectors—orphanages, and Jewish community centers are all on our list of recipients. Let us turn your contribution into much-needed food.

Bnei Menashe

Bringing the Children of Israel home is part of God’s divine plan—and you can play a key role in the unfolding of that plan. The prophet Isaiah foretold that the Lord “will set up a banner for the nations…and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth” (11:12). The Bnei Menashe (Sons of Manasseh) are descendants of the tribe of Manasseh, who were exiled and settled in northeastern India. The Bnei Menashe never forgot who they are and dreamed of returning. And now, just as the prophets foretold, this lost tribe will be lost no more. Your gift will help fulfill the dream of the Bnei Menashe to end their 2,700 years of exile.

Cheer Baskets

Our cheer baskets are filled with delicious cookies, candies, dried fruit, nuts, flavored teas and several other items that are specifically selected to bring hope and encouragement to Israel’s shut-ins, elderly and anyone else who is discouraged and needs a tangible expression of God’s love. A cheer basket is also given to immigrants on the Adoption Program for birthdays, including special ones for the children. This is often the only birthday present many receive. Help us ensure that no Israeli feels forgotten or left behind.

Education and Advocacy

Hosea 4:6 warns that God’s “people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” You can give the gift of knowledge by investing in our education and advocacy programs aimed at enabling Christians around the world to fulfill their God-given mandate of standing with and blessing Israel. The programs are also geared toward empowering and equipping the Church with an understanding of Christianity’s Hebraic roots, modern Israel’s prophetic significance as well as historic and current events. Your gift of knowledge will enable the creation and implementation of programs globally.

Adoption Program

Through our Adoption Program, you’ll sow into the future of the needy in Israel by sponsoring them for a year with generous monthly food parcels, transportation costs, financial assistance for unforeseen needs and much-needed emotional support. You can bless new immigrants to Israel, native Israeli families suffering from a terror attack or loss of a job, Holocaust survivors and college students without the support structure of a family in Israel. You’ll have the opportunity to see firsthand how the love and blessing of Christians around the world make a pivotal difference in Israel.

Project Tikvah

Apart from supporting Jewish people in Israel, we also come to the aid of needy Jewish people in the former Soviet Union countries. Many elderly Jewish people cannot immigrate to Israel because of their advanced age or ill health, so we meet them where they are to offer assistance of food and care. Our project Tikvah Fund is a vital source of hope for those less fortunate in areas where the winters are particularly brutal. Gifts to this fund will be used to buy food and run soup kitchens to support these precious ones.

Immigrant Welcome Gifts

Bridges for Peace wants to make the transition easier for new olim (immigrants) to Israel. Bless a new immigrant family and let them know that they are welcomed in Israel by Christians who believe God’s promise to bring His people back to His Land. This onetime gift is a great help to immigrants who come to Israel with very little and need help settling in and establishing their new home. We give a generous gift package: a copy of the Tanakh (Old Testament) in Hebrew alongside Russian or Spanish; blankets; school kits for the children; and a set of new pots and pans, utensils and a cutting board.

Greatest Israel Need

Your gift will be used to assist us in continuing to fulfill our mission of building relationships between Christians and Jews. We accomplish this through our numerous humanitarian projects in Israel as well as our educational endeavors in Israel and around the world. We are called to be a blessing to Israel. You can make a difference by helping us to continue this good work.
