Prayer Focus
Cry out to the Lord for the Israeli hostages who remain in Gaza, asking Him to lift His hand on their behalf. Pray that the resumption of negotiations will result in a favorable agreement that will bring the hostages home and require an accounting of Hamas’s savagery. Remember their families who have been waiting for over six months to be reunited with their loved ones.

Scripture

Arise, O LORD! O God, lift up Your hand! Do not forget the humble. Why do the wicked renounce God? He has said in his heart, “You will not require an account.” But You have seen, for You observe trouble and grief, to repay it by Your hand. The helpless commits himself to You; You are the helper of the fatherless.

- Psalm 10:12–14

Prayer Focus
Petition the Lord on behalf of Israel’s leaders, praying that they will look to Him rather than depend on alliances with earthly nations. Pray that they will be drawn to read the Tanakh (OT) and remember when the Lord delivered Israel from seemingly impossible situations (ie. 2 Kings 18:17–37).

Scripture

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

- Psalm 20:7

Prayer Focus
Rejoice with Dr. Bornstein who left the United States, not knowing what lay ahead but has now been firmly planted in the Land. Give thanks for all those who have left familiar surroundings to make aliyah and pray that many more will come to Israel and be fruitful and increase.

Scripture

But I will gather the remnant of My flock out of all countries where I have driven them, and bring them back to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.

- Jeremiah 23:3

Prayer Focus
Pray that the people of Gaza who really need the humanitarian aid will freely receive it. Pray that the practices of the Hamas terror regime will be fully and completely revealed, especially to those who accuse Israel of withholding aid. The ways of the wicked are not hidden from the Lord and the day is coming when He will set things right.

Scripture

For I was envious of the boastful, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. Their eyes bulge with abundance; they have more than heart could wish. They scoff and speak wickedly concerning oppression; they speak loftily. And they say, “How does God know? And is there knowledge in the Most High?” Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then I understood their end. Surely You set them in slippery places; You cast them down to destruction.

- Psalm 73:3, 7–8, 11, 17–18

Prayer Focus
Proclaim this eternal truth in the face of threats by the Palestinian Authority (PA): that the Land has been given to the Jewish people as an everlasting covenant. Call to remembrance the faithfulness of God to keep His covenant and pray that all manipulation and bullying of world leaders by the PA will be brought to nothing.

Scripture

He remembers His covenant forever, the word which He commanded, for a thousand generations, the covenant which He made with Abraham, and His oath to Isaac, and confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, to Israel as an everlasting covenant, saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan as the allotment of your inheritance…”

- Psalm 105:8–11

Prayer Focus
Pray for Israel’s hospitals and medical staff as they are faced with an increase in wounded, asking the Lord to give them wisdom to know the best treatment for each patient. Strengthen the wounded in spirit as they cry out to You for mercy in their time of need.

Scripture

Have mercy on me, O LORD, for I am weak; O LORD, heal me, for my bones are troubled.

- Psalm 6:2

Prayer Focus
IIntercede for the residents of Judea and Samaria, Israel’s biblical heartland, and the security forces who serve in the area, thanking the Lord for His shield of protection. Pray that as the IDF guards roads and junctions they would be alert for any sign of danger. Expose any plan to carry out an attack on either citizens or IDF soldiers.

Scripture

The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge; my Savior, You save me from violence.

- 2 Samuel 22:3

Prayer Focus
Although Israel is not a perfect nation, give thanks that they have a foundational belief of choosing life and not death, which has resulted in a very low number of true civilian deaths in this war. Pray that the truth of these statistics could not be ignored by the world but instead would be widely known and believed.

Scripture

See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil…I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live…

- Deuteronomy 30:15, 19

Prayer Focus
We do not rejoice in the death of any man. However, Raisi single-handedly caused the deaths of many Iranians. Plead with the Lord for a replacement who will consider the poor and will not add any measure of instability to the Middle East.

Scripture

Blessed is he who considers the poor; the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.

- Psalm 41:1

Prayer Focus
Rejoice that the newly elected government of the Netherlands has committed to study the timing of an embassy move to Jerusalem, Israel’s one true capital. Regardless of what any of the world leaders may say, proclaim the following Scripture in agreement with what the Lord has said!

Scripture

Thus says the LORD: ‘I will return to Zion, and dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be called the City of Truth, the Mountain of the LORD of hosts, the Holy Mountain.’

- Zechariah 8:3
